HKEx recently announced the appointment of Paul Chow as Group General Counsel. Going forward, Paul Chow will provide strategic legal advice to the HKEx Board and management team, head up HKEx's legal and company secretarial departments, and will oversee the Group's legal function, including the teams at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and LME Clear.

Paul Chow is the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, and has extensive expertise and legal experience in corporate finance and capital markets. Prior to that, he was a partner in a number of international law firms, including Davis Polk & Wardwell, Linklaters and Slaughter and May, where he practiced in the areas of corporate finance, capital markets and M&A transactions.

Paul Chow holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in the United Kingdom and a Master of Global Entrepreneurship degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England and Wales, and as a licensed solicitor in the State of New York in the United States.
