Covington & Burling recently announced that it has welcomed attorney Cao Yanping, former General Counsel of GE, to its team. Cao will be the managing partner of Covington & Burling's Shanghai office.

Cao has more than 20 years of legal service experience and has served as General Counsel of GE China and GE Healthcare China and Asia Pacific for the past 13 years, providing professional support for GE's business growth and risk management in China and Asia. In addition, she has extensive experience in investigations and compliance matters involving regulatory and law enforcement agencies in China and the United States.
