On 23 September, Linklaters announced that Mark Fairbairnwill be joining the firm's Hong Kong office as a Senior Associate in the Asia Restructuring & Insolvency team.

Mark has a longstanding focus on restructuring and insolvency and has been involved in a number of major transactions in the China and Asian markets. Previously, he was a sole practitioner at Fairbairn & Co. and the Asia head of DLA Piper's restructuring and special situations practice. He was also a partner at Deacons, White & Case and O'Melveny & Myers.

It is understood that Mark Fairbairn will be formally joining Linklaters later in the year, following the completion of the usual regulatory matters in respect of Fairbairn & Co.
