Skadden recently announced the establishment of a new office in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This marks Skadden’s first office in the Middle East. The office will be led by partner Michael Hilton.

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in New York, Skadden now operates 21 offices worldwide. The Abu Dhabi office will focus on providing legal services in M&A, financing, litigation and arbitration matters and white collar defense and investigations.

In 2024, Skadden announced the closure of its Shanghai office and made adjustments to its operations in China. Currently, the firm maintains offices in Beijing and Hong Kong.
